Clover Leaf Empire Bed in Mahogany For the first time ever, we have built this bed using Mahogany as it was made over a hundred years ago in New Orleans. Legendary furniture maker, Prudent Mallard sold similar beds in his French Quarter shop before the Civil War. Even if you are lucky enough to find an original bed of Mallard’s, you'd probably like ours better. Mallard’s beds, 150 years ago, were somewhat smaller than today’s standard sizes. Our Cloverleaf Empire can be made in King or Queen-sized. Our beds can also be made to accommodate high pillow-top or standard height mattresses. We’ve been in this business for over 40 years and I've have never heard of anyone else building this bed with the detail and precision that we do in my shop.
